Other performance notes

You should always leave turned on any drivers for your graphics card, or any other third party peripheral that you want to use with OSBooster. Such as a joystick, mouse, or graphics tablet.

Any utility that alters the way the operating system draws visual features should normally be turned off. This includes the 'Smooth all fonts on screen' setting in the Appearance control panel. But also, ATM, Greg's Buttons and Kaleidoscope. These extensions have a very significant effect on performance.

SpeedDoubler and RamDoubler will work with OSBooster. However, we recommend using RamDoubler only at the 'File Mapping only' setting.

Printer drivers are only needed if you intend to do any printing, however, they do not consume memory when they are not being used, so there is rarely any need to disable them.

Extensions that provide application docking stations, launch bars or application menus should always be turned off as they will generally not work with OSBooster.
